The Scottish Wool Centre

In the heart of the Trossachs, you'll find the Scottish Wool Centre where you can discover the story of Scottish Wool. You can also visit the Spinner's Cottage and try your hand at making wool into yarn in the traditional way.
We are situated in Aberfoyle, the gateway to one of the most beautiful areas in Scotland. Local shepherds appear on many weekends with their Border collies to provide sheepdog demonstrations.

Our visitors can meet and feed baby lambs and goats in our kid's farm as well as making friends with our pot bellied pig, our Dexter cow, our pony and "Wee Mac" our mascot.

The new "Story of Scottish Wool" brings human actors in to join animals in a hilarious but informative presentation of 2000 years of Scottish history. In the new show, you will meet a Viking Chief, Julius Caesar and a French onion seller on his bicycle. If you are wondering what all this has got to do with Scottish Wool, come and find out for yourself. There's a chance to meet and feed the young lambs and the baby goats, (in the spring time only) as well as meeting Bertie and Sammy our donkeys.

Our Food Hall offers you a wide selection of typical Scottish food. Why not take some Scottish haggis or shortbread home with you, or try some smoked salmon from the Smokehouse.

Visit our friendly coffee shop and restaurant which uses high quality fresh produce.
You will find a wide variety of freshly made sandwiches, a salad bar and delicious traditional Scottish dishes and cakes.

Daily sheepdog demonstrations with both sheep and Indian Runner Ducks! Kids animal farm, live animal shows in Trossachs Theatre, Spinning and weaving demonstrations, plus fabulous shopping for all the family and a wide range of refreshments and meal available in the spinning wheel restaurant. 150 seats.
